ABOUT THE AUTHORKeith James Clarke started his career as a chartered architect working on multimillion-pound projects for an internationally acclaimed Cambridge practice. From the mid-1980s, he completed projects for private clients and refurbished houses and apartments in the East of England and London.
In 2007 he published his first book: Mahler’s Heavenly Retreats Encounters with the master’s 'Composing Houses', a look at the places and spaces which played a crucial role in the life and music of Gustav Mahler. His latest book: HOME IMPROVEMENTS ideas from an architect is derived from Keith’s specialism in refurbishing small-scale residential properties and his unflinching commitment to realise exceptional interior and architectural design. Keith has taught architecture and interior design at universities and schools of art and design.
